I want a relationship, and if only (s)he was more available.
There are no good (wo)men left.
Should I call her on Monday, or does that seem too pushy.
Why can’t I meet Mr. Right, everyone else seems to…
Is it okay to be happy not dating anyone or does that mean “I’ve given up!”
How can I meet people…should I try online dating?”
If so, you are not alone.
Many single people are open to finding the “right partner” and getting married. The goal in SingleSpace of “blooming where you are” does not imply that you wouldn't want a partner. What it means is that you don’t let the ups and downs of that quest totally color your experience of your life (and self). It means you are wiser and more grounded as you try on possibilities.
However, if you find yourself interested in a “healthy relationship” or conversely discouraged and cynical about ever creating one, you may want to consider some of the patterns that constitute being “stuck in or out of love.”
Being “stuck” means that there is a goal that you aspire to but feel stymied in ever getting there. Some singles keep trying to find a relationship or make an existing relationship work but feel continually frustrated and disappointed. Others have closed themselves off from exploring the possibility of an intimate partnership because “there are no good ones left” and it’s better to be resigned than disappointed. This section helps people look at their own experiences in relationships with the goal of freeing them to be happily themselves and open to healthier choices, which may or not lead to intimate partnership.
