Open to Love

“Open to Love” means that you chose a partner based on acceptance of who you are as well as acceptance of the other person for realistically who they are. Although relationships that evolve from an “Open to Love” attitude can begin with a bang or develop more gradually, the important question is whether or not the intimate partnership enhances your life and helps you fulfill your purpose and goals. It’s important to remember that “Open to Love” means just that - being open to the possibility of loving and being loved within the context of an intimate partnership. It does not mean finally finding the partner that will make everything right. Indeed, if available partners are not open to working on an intimate relationship or don’t enhance your life journey, you can find more fulfillment and joy in friendships, community, and creative connections.

If you would like to explore these ideas further, you may find it helpful to read Moving Beyond "Stuck in Love" in SingleSpace and/or explore Resources and Links related to Dating and Romance.
